SUMMARY:St. Thomas Community Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:Tommie Shelf is a free grocery program that takes place every month on St. Thomas’ campus.  This program is made possible through a mutually beneficial partnership between Keystone Community Services and the University of St. Thomas.  Keystone and St. Thomas’ Center for the Common Good developed this partnership in order to combat food insecurity on college campuses and in the larger community.  The Hope Center’s #RealCollege Survey Report of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities found that 37% of student respondents identified as food insecure in the prior 30 days\, and we are determined to be part of the solution when it comes to this basic needs crisis. \nIf you are interested in supporting Keystone through the Tommie Shelf program\, there are two ways that you can help! \n\nWalk-Up Donations – On May 1st\, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.\, stop by the Anderson Student Center Turn-Around at St. Thomas (on the east side of Cretin just north of Summit\, near the St. Thomas football field) to drop of donations of non-perishable food items that will be collected and delivered to Keystone Community Services.  If you are unavailable on May 1st\, you can also drop off donations directly to the Center for the Common Good in the Anderson Student Center\, Room 207\, from April 26th – April 30th.\nCurbside Donations – On May 1st\, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.\, a St. Thomas volunteer will drive to your home or business to pick up your curbside donation of non-perishable food items.  All you have to do is leave your donation on your step or your curb at 10:00 a.m.\, and St. Thomas will do the rest.  If you would like to participate in this food drive\, simply fill out this survey and start gathering your donation!\n\n  \nIf you have any questions about Tommie Shelf or the Center for the Common Good’s food drive effort for Keystone Community Services\, please direct them to casey.gordon@sstthomas.edu.
