Debby worried as medical bills piled up.

After a lifetime of fighting kidney disease, Debby had her kidneys removed. She now receives dialysis and is learning how to maintain her health. Her new medical reality is time consuming and stressful. Debby is anxious about paying her medical bills and having enough money for every day necessities, like healthy food.

Knowing she was concerned about her finances, staff at the dialysis clinic encouraged Debby to visit Keystone’s Foodmobile when it stops at the clinic. But she was reluctant to ask for help. With her strained budget and empty refrigerator in mind, Debby overcame her fears and made her first visit. She left the Foodmobile with bags of her favorite foods and rushed home to cook her favorite meal of chicken, macaroni and green beans.

Now Debby never misses a visit to Keystone’s Foodmobile which provides fresh produce, eggs, milk, meat and other food staples that she enjoys. Debby receives foods that help her stay healthy. Most of all, the Foodmobile support is helping Debby stabilize her monthly finances.

“The Foodmobile has greatly impacted my life. I no longer have to decide between paying my bills or eating healthy.” ~ Debby
