Scott Murphey has been volunteering in food shelves for over nine years and finds this type of volunteer service very meaningful. When he moved to Roseville, he wanted to volunteer at a food shelf closer to home so he started volunteering with Keystone. Scott primarily volunteers on our Foodmobile but consistently picks up shifts at our three other food shelf locations as well.
“Keystone has the most professional staff I have ever experienced. It is an honor to do this work alongside them,” Scott said.
Scott is one of the 2019 Keystone Above and Beyond Volunteer Award recipients. You can read more about Scott and this award on our website here.
When he received his award, Scott said, “If it weren’t for all of the other volunteers I work with at the food shelves and the Foodmobile who help prop me up when I need it, I would not be receiving this award. I am deeply touched to receive this award.”
