Thank you message for our Community from President Mary McKeown

Posted Friday, January 28, 2022

Dear Keystone community,

I am filled with gratitude for you and how your support is helping our neighbors.

I have spent this first month of the year juggling the many challenges facing Keystone and our community as the pandemic continues. I hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and safe as you navigate through this time too. Despite everything going on, we remain committed to offering services for all of our neighbors who need extra support right now.

If you were to walk into one of our Keystone sites today, you would see our staff and volunteers working hard to keep programs running smoothly even while we have more staff and volunteers out sick or caring for loved ones. You’d see a lot more KN95s and all of us doubling down on safety protocols to keep everyone safe. But most importantly, when you step in the door, you know we are here helping our community.

You make it possible for us to be present every day providing support, food, and programs that enrich the lives of so many youth, seniors, and families in our community!  We have you to thank for so many things that make everything possible at Keystone – financial support, in-kind donations, volunteer help, and moral support. Your kind words and support bring all of us energy that helps us push through any challenges.

All of us at Keystone work hard to live up to our namesake – Keystone.  A keystone is a central wedge-shaped stone of an arch that locks the parts together and supports the whole. While we strive to always be that keystone for our community, we want you to know that YOU are OUR keystone. You are what keeps us supported, and makes our work in the community possible.

With gratitude always and best wishes for this new year,

Mary McKeown, Keystone CEO/President
