Keystone joins with food shelves across the state for MN FoodShare March Campaign

Posted Tuesday, March 19, 2019

Did you know that one in 10 Minnesotans experience food insecurity? For many people in our community, they live with inconsistent access to nutritious food and have limited financial resources to buy food.

Local food shelves are leading the charge to make sure that everyone has access to nutritious food. In the East Metro, Keystone is the largest provider of food shelf services and every day we’re on the front lines address food insecurity in our community.

Last year, more than 23,000 people walked onto Keystone’s Foodmobile or visited our three storefront food shelf locations and received quality, healthy food. Every food shelf participant has their own unique story but each is on a path to reaching their goal of having a more stable life.

And thanks to our supporters – businesses, faith communities, community groups and individual donors — Keystone is able to offer them nourishing food when they need it most.

Keystone is a partner food shelf in the Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign and we invite you to support your neighbors in need this month. Throughout the month, donations – both dollars and pounds of food – will be matched and provide even more support to families in need!
